Mallory and Spring Water Go Green with Marukyu!

Following on from the recent announcement that the famous Cudmore Fishery has recommended Marukyu products as their preferred baits, two more high profile fisheries are following suit.

Leicestershire’s Mallory Park Fisheries, run by Roy Marlow, and Ayrshire Scotland’s Springwater Fishery, managed by Willie and Toni Scott, have both gone green with Marukyu!

Roy Marlow said “The future of our industry is totally dependent on anglers being able to catch quality, healthy fish in a pleasant environment. To achieve this is not difficult provided we use common sense. It follows that the type of bait anglers feed fish on has a major bearing on fish health and aquatic environment.

“Bait that is nutritionally and environmentally poor has a detrimental knock on effect on both fish and water when used in quantities.

“Meat is just one example of a product used in quantities that can and does cause problems within a fishery.

“I would like to emphasise that there are many companies producing excellent baits which are available in the market place. The big difference is that I know for certain that every Marukyu bait has passed stringent scientific tests in relation to fish health and environmental impacts.”

That is why the ‘preferred bait’ at Mallory Park Fisheries will be Marukyu.

Willie Scott, of Spring Water Fisheries in Ayrshire Scotland, reiterates Roy’s story: “We plan to have the flagship coarse fishery in Scotland and to achieve this we must provide healthy fish in a flourishing environment for the visiting anglers to catch.

“We stock Marukyu baits and have established that they are a brilliant fish-catching bait with the huge advantage of being absolutely certain that they are not detrimental to fish or their environment.”

The move was endorsed by leading fisheries management consultant Dr Bruno Broughton.

“On most commercial fisheries anglers’ baits are a major component in the diet of the fish – they are what they eat! In these circumstances it is important that introduced foodstuffs fulfil the three key requirements - attractive to fish, nutritionally balanced and unpolluting to the water environment. This is the best way of assuring healthy fish and excellent growth, thereby maintaining good sport for anglers.”
