Netting Operations

Thanks to everyone who turned up to help on the netting operations on the 3rd and 4th January, with special thanks to the soup kitchens led by John Wright (the Corpse) and the Ghost, and the Thursday caterers led by Bob Beighton.

The netting went to plan and was highly successful. Briefly these are the end results:

The Big Lake at Mallory has received in excess of a thousand small carp out of Pool 8. These will start to replace the aging carp stocks that are in the Big Lake and more will follow.

Pool 7 has received around two hundred pounds of quality silver fish and around 150 small carp.

Pool 6 has received around 200 small carp, Pool 4 around, Pool 5 around 100, and Pool 1 around 150.

The carp came out of our own stock ponds and many were up to 1 and a half lbs.

Pool 8 has now received around three thousand of our smallest carp for growing on. Pool 8 contained a few very large carp - one weighed at 17lbs 12oz but a larger one is out there. Some perch were moved out of Pool 4, with the biggest weighing 3lbs 15oz. We hope to add a picture soon.

All the lakes are fishable and if the weather keeps mild we should have some brilliant sport.
