Sunday 30th October 2011

Another great turnout this week, 49 anglers, the weather was once again very mild for the time of year with a temperature around 18c in the sun and a breezy south westerly wind.

The first section of pool one was a real battle with every angler recording a weight between 80 and 90 lbs. It seemed any chosen method on this section accounted for its fair share of fish; some catches were of small carp other of a larger stamp of fish.

Section two also had some good weights with the two top anglers, at adjacent pegs, catching on completely different tactics, one on a small feeder cast tight across to the far bank with bread punch the other with pellets fished on a long pole. the third section was much more of a struggle with groundbait feeder and JPZ pellets tight across the winning method.

Pool four was hard going; top weight came from the end peg fishing with pellet on the long pole.

Pool five fished better and again the top weight was from the end peg.

Pool six was another close section with the top catch taken on pole and feeder from the unfancied end of the pool.

Pool seven also had some very close weights and again an end peg was to throw up the top score.
