Sunday 6th November 2011

A good turnout of 49 anglers again this week made the pegging an easy copy of the previous week. the weather had taken a bit of a turn with an overnight temperature of around 3c and a breezy north easterly blowing. it was also a very bright day in contrast to the Saturday which was a really dark day. A forecast of around 15c throughout the day meant it was relatively comfortable but not ideal fishing weather on the glebe.

Pool one saw a good match with again the first section very close it was only new member Tim Thorpe on peg 2 that manage to break ahead of the pack for a comfortable win. The middle section was also a close affair with Steve White on 21 taking the top weight.

The last section fished very similar to the previous week with one exception. Jarrad Smith taking an excellent catch of 101 lbs from end peg 30, all the more so impressive having to fish an 18 metre pole to make the catch.

On pool 4 Matt Hall was a good way out in front taking a catch on the long pole with pellets.

Pool five was a close battle between Karl Gillett and Derek Tomlinson, both catching on feeder and pole, Karl coming out just 2 pounds in front at the weigh in.

Both of the bottom lakes were very difficult, Pete Marlow just edging in front on six, on the little girl’s peg, from John Hall at the other end. On seven, Chris Downs took the honours, with a good performance over some stiff opposition.
