There was a rebellion by the away team at the recent Geary's event at Packington Fisheries. Robber Marlow, who is better known for not telling the truth when it comes to what he has caught, actually won the 'honesty' prize. Competitors have to guess their weight before the weigh-in. The closest guess wins the bonus pool, whereas the furthest out has to buy everyone a Magnum ice cream. Robber Marlow estimated 82lbs and weighed in 83lbs 8oz to claim the bonus pool money. He finished second to Mr Nasty Kind, who weighed in a credible 123lbs.

Robber's excuse was that he had a nasty close to him on either side and had to fight off hurtful comments. It is now a spin up between Nasty Andy Kind and Rob Clayton for the nasty trophy. Both were issued with yellow cards for being extremely hurtful to most of the competitors.

The biggest liar award went to Dagga Ward for the second time in two visits. The Magnums were great.

It is worth mentioning that the soon to be retired bait boy from Match Catch fishing tackle, Graham Barry, actually had the lowest ever recorded summer match weight on Glebe Pool 1, from the brilliant peg 22. He weighed in a miserly 28lbs in his own match. Nasty Kind did remark that the old folk's home must have provided him with a special pass to allow him to fish.
