exit from archiveNasty Andy Kind, winner of last years Mr Nasty Trophy, has been at it again. This time he has been abusive to our little carp, affectionately known here as Buddies. In the last two matches they have plagued him and the Match Committee have had to issue a yellow card.
Scot Brown, who tries to council Andy at work, has also come under fire for allegedly feeding duff information regarding fishing techniques to Andy. There is a counselling service but Dagga Ward, who is normally in charge, is having to counsel himself as well as several other members.
The away team went to Packington on Sunday and it has to be reported that Ken Evans paid his dues by bringing magnums for everyone at the draw. Robber Marlow also had to buy everyone a magnum for being the biggest liar when it came to estimating his weight. He won the event with 85lbs but was 12lbs out with his estimate. It has to be said that when there is coin at stake it is amazing how honest anglers become - all the rest were within 4lbs of their actual weights.
There was a wildlife alert at the Glebe on Sunday. Pat McGuinness of Total Pole Fishing threw a wobbly. It was alleged that a python was sunbathing on his peg and it was so big it could have pulled Pat into the water and eaten him. Assistance was called for and Ken Evans shewed it away, saying that it was the smallest grass snake he had ever seen.
